What are the steps for setting up services?

Please see let's get started on the home page to find out the process for setting up services.

Can I have more info on cost and scheduling of services?

This is information that I would love to discuss with you on the phone.  There are many factors to consider and answers can vary based on different circumstances. Give me a call!

Do you bill insurance?

No.  All of my services are out of pocket.

How often should you meet with my child?  What is the recommended length of service?

When I first start services with a client it is important to establish rapport, build trust and create routine. Due to the nature of the work that I do, it is important that a meaningful social connection is made with each family that I serve. This takes time.  I initially recommend weekly services for new clients for at least the first few months, but am open to a more flexible schedule as we progress.

Do you see clients or are you available to talk on the phone in the evenings and/or on weekends?

No. I have my own family and value this time with them.  It is always possible for me to make time during the work week to talk and answer questions.

What are the ages of the children that you work with?

I serve children as young as two up to young adults.  One of my current clients is finishing up his last year of college!

Do you work with a variety of diagnoses?

A client does not need to have a particular diagnosis in order for me to provide services.  Over the past 20 years, I have worked with children with a wide range of disabilities including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's, ADHD, Anxiety, Non Verbal Learning Disability and an array of genetic disorders.

Where do you provide services?

I will either come to your home, see your child at school or have you come to my office at the ActivSpace Building on SE 8th and Main St.  Sometimes it may be that I see your child at multiple locations.  We will determine this together.

Can you help me find additional resources in the community?

Yes. I am well connected in the Portland therapy and educational communities.  I am happy to provide information about other providers and related resources.
